Himalaya National Park (34.788444N, 75.078121E) is recently notified on 2021 and is located in Astore district for protection and conservation of musk deer and other species. It covers an area of 226300 hectares.

Dominant Wildlife and Biodiversity

The Park is the part of conservation and Protection of the wildlife, specifically musk deer. the park is home to Sub alpine scrub zone, Alpine meadows and Alpine scrub zone.it lies in the majestic natural beauty of Domail, Minimarg, Kalapani, Dirley Lake. its climate naturally offers a variety of flora and fauna that includes Musk deer, Brown bear, Himalayan ibex, Marmot, Fox, Wolf, lynx, leopard cat, Stone martin, weasel, Black bear while birds of diverse species Monal pheasant, snow cock, chakur, magpie, Himalayan Griffon vulture and Eurasian sparrow haw could be found easily in the park.
